CPA Continuing Education Requirements

Does your certified public accountant stop learning after he graduates, gets his degree and certification. Not on your life. Think for a moment of how often the tax rules change.

As a Suwanee Ga CPA,  Vern Free must keep up with the ever evolving and changing tax rules and regulations. In order to do that the state of Georgia has requirements for continuing education for all Georgia CPA’s.

What are the minimum requirements?

The CPE requirement is 80 hours of continuing education every 2 years. Sixteen of the 80 hours must be obtained in auditing and accounting subjects. Additional business subjects may also be taken.

This means that you do not need to be a tax specialist. It ensures that your business is in full compliance with the IRS. It also protects you in that it also ensures you get all of the corporate write offs that are legally, ethically and safely available to your organization.
